Nonlinear Elasticity and Metamaterials Laboratory

Experimental characterization of nonlinear elastic mesoscopic materials, elastic metamaterials and biological samples by means of elastic or acoustic wave propagation. Quantification, also  in temperature and humidity-controlled environment, of the nonlinear elastic signature in granular materials and metals with different types of defects. Creation of the velocity field image thanks to translational stages and laser vibrometer.
