Massimo Messori received his Laurea Degree in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Bologna in 1992 and the Ph.D in Industrial Chemistry in 1997. He worked as Research Assistant at the Department of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science of the University of Bologna in the period 1999-2002. From 2002 to 2017 he was Associate Professor of Materials Science and Technology at the Faculty of Engineering (Modena) of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE). Since 2015 he is Full Professor of Materials Science and Technology at the Department of Engineering "Enzo Ferrari" of UNIMORE.
The research activity is carried out at DIEF. He is co-author of several papers in international refereed journals, of international patents and of presentations in national and international conferences. He is referee for several international journals and member of Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per la Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali (INSTM).
His research interest lies in the synthesis, modification and characterization of polymers. Current specific fields of research are i) the study of photo-curable resins for additive manufacturing and ii) valorization of agro-industrial wastes as additives/fillers of bio-polymers.
