Massimo Messori received his Laurea Degree in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Bologna in 1992 and the Ph.D in Industrial Chemistry in 1997. He worked as Research Assistant at the Department of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science of the University of Bologna in the period 1999-2002. From 2002 to 2017 he was Associate Professor of Materials Science and Technology at the Faculty of Engineering (Modena) of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE). From 2015 to 2021 he was Full Professor of Materials Science and Technology at the Department of Engineering "Enzo Ferrari" of UNIMORE. From 2021 è is Full Professor of Materials Science and Technology at the Department of Applied Science and Technology of Politecnico di Torino.
He is co-author of several papers in international refereed journals, of international patents and of presentations in national and international conferences. He is member of Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per la Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali (INSTM).
His research interest lies in the synthesis, modification and characterization of polymers. Current specific fields of research are i) the study of photo-curable resins for additive manufacturing and ii) valorization of agro-industrial wastes as additives/fillers of bio-polymers.
He is co-founder of the university spinoff “MAT3D” (design, development and production of special resins for additive manufacturing) and “Agromateriae” (valorization of agro-industrial wastes for the production of bio-composites).
