Seminario "Reservoir Computing as Physical Information Processing"

Aula 2F - h. 11.30 - streaming

Abstract
Reservoir Computing exploits the natural dynamics of nonlinear systems for information processing, with learning restricted to simple readout layers. This seminar introduces its core principles from a dynamical-systems perspective and discusses how abstract reservoir models can be mapped onto neuromorphic and emerging hardware. The seminar will introduce the principles of Reservoir Computing from a Deep Learning perspective, and outline current research directions on hardware- and memristive-friendly reservoirs, non-dissipative dynamics for long-term information propagation, and modular architectures for scalable physical computation.

Short bio
Claudio Gallicchio is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Pisa. His research focuses on reservoir computing, recurrent neural networks, and dynamical systems for deep learning, with particular emphasis on hardware-aware and energy-efficient models.

Sperando di incontrarvi numerosi!
