Film: Il codice del bosco
DiSAT is glad to invite you at the new season of PoliTO Cinema.
The first screening is scheduled for Thursday, 9 October, at 8 p.m. in the Aula Magna at Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24, where Il codice del bosco (Alessandro Bernard, Paolo Ceretto, Italy, 2025, 93') will be shown, a documentary film produced by Zenit Arti Audiovisivi, from Torino, and premiered in Italy at the last Trento Film Festival.
In the heart of a forest devastated by Hurricane Vaia, two visionary scientists seek to tune into the genius loci of the wounded woodland. Physicist Alessandro Chiolerio uses technology to capture the electrical signals of plants, while ecologist Monica Gagliano explores the secret communications between plant beings, drawing inspiration from ancient indigenous knowledge. Through cutting-edge experiments, they investigate the mysterious intelligence of plants, challenging the conventional paradigms of modern science in search of a new way of communicating with nature.
The screening will be preceded by a debate moderated by Professor Mauro Giorcelli, with:
Alessandro Bernard, author and director
Alessandro Chiolerio, actor and researcher
Alessandro Sanginario, researcher at Politecnico di Torino with experience in electronics for the biomedical and agrifood sectors, co-founder of the start-up PlantZCare
I hope to see many of you there.
Mauro Giorcelli
