Seminar: "Thermo-Calc software: a Calphad approach to Materials Design"

DiSAT is glad to invite you to the seminar "Thermo-Calc software: a Calphad approach to Materials Design" scheduled ONLINE on Thursday the 19th.

The seminar will present the possible application of Thermocalc software for different calphad simulations:
- Calculation of a phase diagram (example 304 stainless steel)
- Scheil solidification simulation (example of a cast Al alloy)
- Nucleation and growth of precipitate simulation (Cr-carbide formation in stainless steel)
- Diffusion simulation (for example carburization)
- Liquid steel processing /steel refining (liquid steel desulphurization / secondary steelmaking / steel refining)
- Corrosion calculation in aqueous solution (Corrosion of steel in sea water)
- High temperature corrosion (high temperature corrosion of stainless steel)
- FEM simulation of additive process (Printability map of Al alloy).

The presenter will be Nicholas Grundy, Metallurgist at Thermo-Calc Software. At the end of the webinar, it will be possible to get a free trial of the Thermocalc software (including its modules and databases).
