Main research topics
The strategic vision of the group can be summarized as it follows:
- Development of nanostructured materials (mainly based on polymers) for miniaturized sensors and actuators of new generation.
- Micro and Nanosensors for bio applications and environment, integration in micro/nanofluidic based Lab-on-chip
- New materials and new processes for 3D organic photonics with a particular focus on bio-photonics.
- Development of new solution (sensors, electronics, energy) for “smart manufacturing”, in particular Laser and Processing, rapid prototyping, 3D printing and flexible electronics.
- New material and new technologies for energy harvesting and storage (as graphene-based supercapacitors, CO2 reduction, ….).
- Development of innovative materials and devices for neuromorphic sensing network, brain simulation and human- machine interface. A particular attention is paid on solid state devices – neurons.
- New solution for Environmental Monitoring & Food Safety Diagnostics, with a particular focus on network sensors and related electronic solutions. The problems related to “water” monitoring and purification are faced.
- Development on new solution for nanoparticles and nanostructures.
