From December 2019: Full Professor in Materials Science and Technology at the Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT) of the Politecnico di Torino.
January 2005: PhD in Materials Science and Technology, Politecnico di Torino.
June 2000: Habilitation as a Chemist, Università di Torino
December 1999: Degree in Industrial Chemistry, Università di Torino.
Scientific activity: applied research in the field of materials, especially ceramics and their composites, for the engineering (structural, high temperature, biomedical, functional and environmental applications) and construction materials fields. The research involves unconventional syntheses of simple and composite powders, and focuses on the development and characterization of dense and porous components, on the design and additive manufacturing by stereolithography of engineering ceramics. Research in the field of building materials focuses on sustainable binders, on new materials produced from industrial by-products, on the capture and storage of CO2 by materials for architecture, on the development of new geopolymeric and alkaline-activated materials.
