Safety
Safety is an integral part of all teaching and research activities and involves the implementation of the necessary safety measures (Legislative Decree no. 81/08).
DISAT ACCESS RULES
The DiSAT Access Rules (291.45 kB)determines the rules for access to DISAT, in accordance with current security regulations and in compliance with the Security Regulations of the Politecnico di Torino, approved by Rectoral Decree no. 778 of 17 July 2019. These rules and regulations apply to all persons who, for whatever reason, access the DiSAT premises and require their badge to be enabled or a special badge to be issued allowing access to the department.
How to request
Please note that for Professors, Researchers, and Technical-Administrative and Library staff (PTAB) at DiSAT, access authorisation is given automatically upon entry into service.
For other INSIDE USERS
- The user verifies the required documents by consulting the DiSAT Access Regulations
(291.45 kB) (e.g. Sir, security tests, etc.).
- The user fills in the ‘User Access Request Form’ and sends it by email to his/her Head of Education and Research (RADRL).
- The Head of Education and Research (RADRL) completes the ‘RADRL Authorisation Form’.
- The authorised personnel shall authorise access after the necessary checks have been carried out
For GUESTS it is PREVIOUSLY requested to:
- Category 4.A - ‘Guests’ - Visiting PHDs (PhD students/post-doctoral students funded by their home universities and spending a limited period at DiSAT for research purposes) and 4.B - External (National-International) Thesis and Trainees:
- Check the insurance coverage required by the Politecnico di Torino, consulting the DISAT Access Regulations

- Send emails with the documentation for the appropriate checks to internship.disat@polito.it.
- Check the insurance coverage required by the Politecnico di Torino, consulting the DISAT Access Regulations
- Category 4.C - ‘Guests’ - Other (staff from other institutions with agreements with Politecnico not covered in the previous cases - Professors, researchers, technologists, postdocs and staff)
- Download and fill in the Personal Data and Activity Declaration forms.
- Send the forms by email to personale_ricerca.disat@polito.it with a copy of your identity document.
Documents whose completion may be necessary in order to complete the Access Request Form (user)
- for 'internal staff' of Politecnico (already in possession of a magnetic card):
- for 'external guests' at Politecnico
* Depending on the activity, it is necessary to check whether chemical risk or carcinogenic risk form should also be completed.
SAFETY TEST FOR ACCESS TO LABORATORIES DISAT
SAFETY TEST, mandatory for accessing the DISAT Laboratories, is an internal service supplied for all the new entry staff and valid all the period of the teaching and researching activities, which consists in a qualifying examination and consequent supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to staff attending DISAT laboratories.
The SAFETY TEST vouches for knowledge of the safety provisions relating to: rules of behavior, signs and billboards, classification of chemicals, exposure to toxic agents, classification of protective equipment, fume hoods, chemicals storage, cryogenic liquids, chemical incompatibility, water supply, testing, auditing, punching, color labeling, hazards, storage, cabinets, handling, temperature and connection of pressure vessels containing compressed gases.
